Dust Briquetter for Labor-Free Disposal
A South Carolina Box manufacturer turns to Kernic Systems to update and automate their Dust Collection System.
Last week the Kernic install team wrapped up the the integration and startup of a new WEIMA C150 Dust Briquetter under the customer’s existing dust collection system. A 9″ screw conveyor transfers dust captured by their filtration system automatically into the new briquetter, ensuring a labor-free and hands-off dust removal program.
Dust briquetters can be retrofitted like this project, or integrated with new collectors to reduce the costs and labor involved with changing out drums below your collector. By using high compression force, loose dust is transformed into dense briquettes, which can be further recycled or upcycled, depending on the material and application.
