A Southwestern Ontario independent folding carton producer turned to Kernic Systems for a shredder to manage their secure make-ready waste cartons.

With many security requirements for folding carton facilities that produce cartons for various applications, including for pharmaceutical products, shredding solutions are an integral part to their business. Kernic worked with Allegheny Shredders for the optimal solution.

The Allegheny 100 Series Shredder (20-350C) makes short work of their waste sheets, while also dramatically improving the quality of their bales. With an input speed of 125 ft. per minute, a 20″ wide conveyor with a 1/2″ shred width, this machine handles their existing volume with ease, with room for an increase in throughput and waste volume.
